The College of Business at Doane University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Accounting.  A Master's degree is required, a doctorate degree or CPA is preferred. Priority will be given to candidates with teaching experience.

The annual course load for this position is seven courses, mostly at the undergraduate level but may include graduate-level classes.  Undergraduate courses are primarily upper-level classes on the topics of tax, auditing, accounting information systems, and advanced accounting.  This position will be based out of the Lincoln campus and will be integral in expanding the Accounting programs via distance learning.  Additional teaching responsibilities include academic advising and mentoring, developing new courses and curriculum, and assessment.  Service responsibilities include meeting with prospective students, working on projects related to accreditation, committee membership, etc.  Engagement in scholarship and professional activities is expected.

With a mission of ‘achieving excellence through knowledge, experience, and the liberal arts,’ the College of Business offers classes in-person in Crete and Lincoln as well as online (distance-learning and asynchronous).  On the residential campus located in Crete, undergraduate classes are offered during the day in 16-week long semesters.  On the Lincoln campus, which is geared toward working adults, undergraduate and graduate classes are offered one night a week in the evening during 8-week terms.
