Career Development Coordinator

Pratt Institute

The Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) is searching for a Career Development Coordinator who is a friendly and skilled professional with excellent communication skills, loves to coordinate events and excels at customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for a warm and welcoming career office reception, a keen eye for maintaining the job and internship database, producing marketing materials for all department digital communications, and assisting with our stellar career events.

If you are interested in serving as the Career Development Coordinator, you will need experience in a busy office with many different stakeholders, and knowledge of what makes an excellent atmosphere for great customer service and enthusiasm for planning successful events.

On a typical day you will be required to:
  • Foster a welcoming environment for the front reception that is friendly, accessible and inclusive. You will assist walk-in visitors to the office, manage phone calls and answer department emails. Create communication plans, produce marketing emails and implement our digital communications
  • Process new job and internship listings, help employers with job board registration and posting, teach students how to search for on campus jobs, and search for internships and jobs on the Handshake database, as well as assist students and alumni to set up appointments with our career strategists
  • Plan, produce and host a variety of career events with the student events team
