The Department of Transnational Italian Studies at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2023 in Modern Italian Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to enhance the interdisciplinary curriculum of the Transnational Italian Department and organize our major around a global focus at the intersection with other fields such as: philosophy, intellectual history, architecture, music studies, environmental humanities/ethics/eco-criticism. Candidates should also have expertise in foreign language pedagogy with the capacity to coordinate and teach our rigorous beginning language program. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of developing and teaching a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including interdisciplinary programs and other college-wide initiatives such as the 360 Program and the Emily Balch Seminars. A Ph.D. is required by the start date.
