Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) Department of Dance and Choreography is searching for a qualified candidate to teach Yoga.

Adjunct faculty are expected to be thoughtful and proactive members of the Dance and Choreography community and have a desire to work with a diverse student population in a collaborative, inclusive and learning-centered collective.

Required Qualifications:

● Relevant yoga certifications and experience.
● Ability and willingness to teach both in-person and online formats.
● Appropriate teaching experience and/or strong oral presentation and communication skills.
● Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress. Regularly upload grades into Canvas for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student assessments.
● Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Master’s or Doctoral degree in Dance, Choreography, or a related field.
● Registered Yoga Teacher-200 training and certification.
● Willingness to recruit as needed, assist with semesterly assessments, and help support the Dance and Choreography department’s vision and student growth.
