About the Bard Early Colleges
The Bard Early Colleges are founded on the belief that many high school–age students are eager and ready for the intellectual challenges of a college education. The Bard Early Colleges act on this belief by providing younger scholars with a tuition-free, credit-bearing college course of study in the liberal arts and sciences following the 9th and 10th grades. Students are taught by college faculty in seminar classes; they receive up to 60 college credits and an associate in arts (A.A.) degree from Bard College, concurrently with a high school diploma. The Bard Early Colleges begin preparing students for college work as early as the 9th grade and offer ongoing guidance and academic supports.

Now in its second decade, the Bard Early College network serves over 3,000 students in five states and in Washington DC. Since 2003, Bard College has awarded more than 3,000 A.A. degrees to its early college students.
Position Objective and Duties
Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) DC, a partnership between Bard College and DC Public Schools (DCPS), invites applications for a dynamic individual who will join our team as the Bard Operations Fellow of a Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) in Washington, D.C.
This position serves as one of the early college’s Operations’ team members, under the general direction of the Manager of Strategy & Logistics and Principal of the school. The Bard Operations Fellow is responsible for maintaining the school’s enrollment tracking process and in-school operational logistics.
Duties
Compensation: Approximately $50,000 annual salary
Location: Bard High School Early College in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications
The Bard Operations Fellow experience should include creative, collaborative, communicative, and critical thinking skills in an urban setting.

- Assist the School Leadership team in submission of field trip documents
- Assist the School Recruitment & Enrollment team in document tracking
- Assist the Manager of Strategy & Logistics in monitoring the school’s technology
- Serve as the point of contact for supply coordination
- Develop and monitor the effectiveness of lunchtime schedules
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The successful candidate for the position will possess the following characteristics and qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
- Commitment to equity practice and restorative justice.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
