Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
  • Evidence of ability to work independently and collaboratively in content creation that tells stories for successful marketing campaigns. Both long-form feature articles, brochure/email content and advertising copy
  • Successful track record of creative concept development
  • Experience writing speeches
  • Experience in effectively interviewing subjects
  • Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the PCC mission
  • Demonstrated track record of building and supporting a brand identity
  • Demonstrated success in relationship building and collaboration with subjects, colleagues and clients
  • Demonstrated success in managing project schedules and meeting deadlines
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or other liberal arts-related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Three years of experience performing professional-level writing for marketing and promotional campaigns.

Assistance with video production
Help develop creative concepts and themes
Prepare questions and pre-screen/interview subjects
Write scripts
Assist in video editing
Art direction of photo shoots if needed
Ability to comfortably express point of view, present and advocate for their work
Higher Education or Nonprofit Experience
Ability to thrive in large organizations

Position Grade 4 Starting Salary Expectations $53,461.00 to $57,272.00 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $53461 to $92706 Annual Salary FTE 1 PCC Benefits

PCC offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide employees and their families, including domestic partners, with access to a broad range of benefit options. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is typically performed in a standard office environment; however, photography and video work may be performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. Work is often unpredictable and necessitates operating under tight deadlines and occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding functions. Physical skill is required for photography and video recording on location, loading and unloading video and lighting equipment and driving between campuses. Work may require standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Background Check Required Yes
