Position Summary:
The Building Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of assigned facilities. This includes ensuring emergency management planning for facilities in conjunction with the Office of Public Safety, tenant/patron problem solving, and supporting the Campus Events team in facility preparation/clean-up.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience In:
  • Providing administrative guidance within area of responsibility, providing direct training and supervision as needed.
  • Developing, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and public customers.
  • Interpreting and applying laws, rules, regulations, and safety programs.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of facility management/administration;
  • 3 years in a supervisory capacity;
  • Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate a complex operation, using human resource power, time, funds, and other resources for the accomplishment of organizational policies, activities and long-term and short-term goals of the organization;
  • General knowledge of carpentry, commercial building maintenance and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and in written communication.

  • Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
