Position Summary:

The candidate will be a member of the Housing and Residence Life team and have responsibilities focused on customer services, Housing Appeals, and implementation of the mission and vision of Housing and Residence Life. A successful individual would be detail-oriented, customer-focused, responsive, and team-focused.

This position reports to the Director of Housing Operations. This position is the primary respondent to requests in the general housing email box and one of the first members of the team in the phone tree for the general housing phone number. Additionally, this position will track student requests for appeals related to our billing and assignment processes. Appeals must be responded to in a timely maner and forwarded to the proper person or board related to the request. Finally, this position will provide general support to the Housing Assignments team, the Housing Operations team, and the Director of Housing Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Graduate;
5 years of professional support experience; demonstrated proficiency with Google Apps;
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
Strong written communication skills;
Possess good judgment in handling confidential information;
Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with individuals on all levels;
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Strong oral communication skills.
Familiarity with the University's Catholic and Marianist values.
Experience working in a college or university office.
Experience with Microsoft Office.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
