About the Opportunity:
The Department of Health Sciences seeks an Academic Coordinator to join their team!

Responsibilities:
The Academic Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for all administrative aspects of the undergraduate and graduate academic programs within the Department of Health Sciences. The Academic Coordinator will report to the Chair of the Department of Health Sciences and will work closely with the Program Directors and academic programs' staff. The Academic Coordinator will also liaise with the Administrative Coordinator and Budget Manager in the Department, staff in the Bouve College of Health Sciences and the Scheduling Department in the Registrar. The Academic Coordinator will independently perform administrative and operational duties to assure the smooth and efficient planning and operation of academic courses and programs throughout multiple terms of the calendar year. The Academic Coordinator will establish, monitor and maintain systems for efficient handling of program functions, communication, data management, and special projects.

Duties and responsibilities are primarily to support the efficient operations of the departmental academic programs, which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Academic Schedule Administration
O Timely review, management, and administration of the rollover schedules and official Banner course schedules in CLSS, including Final exam schedules and TRACE designations throughout the entire academic year cycle

o Maintain a master schedule that details the undergraduate and graduate course offerings by term; providing regular reports to the Chair and program managers

Academic Course Support Activities:

o Assist faculty with course-related needs regarding Canvas, room assignments, grading issues, SAIL, etc.

o Maintain and update guides for faculty and teaching assistants

o Communicate with part-time faculty and ensure they receive all relevant communications regarding university announcements and information, etc.

o Coordinate assignments in lab rooms based on clinical courses' schedules and needs

Department Support Activities:
o Maintain Departmental databases, including a syllabi repository, and SharePoint maintenance

o Support coordination of room reservations and A/V set up for departmental presentations, such as faculty teaching matters workshops and special class sessions and presentations.

Qualifications:
At a minimum of 3 years of professional administrative experience in a higher education institution required. Associates degree required, bachelor's degree strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have high attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a positive can-do attitude with a willingness to take on new projects as needed. Must have a demonstrated ability to initiate projects and follow through on assigned tasks. Demonstrated familiarity with Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Professional, and SharePoint required. Experience with shared document environments such as Dropbox, Google docs preferred.
