Position Summary
The Senior Associate Director of Industry Relationships and Engagement sets and drives Sports Product Management Program (SPM) industry and admissions strategy and manages career exploration for the SPM in Portland, Oregon. The position is responsible for developing and implementing innovative and high-quality professional development opportunities for SPM students, and building strong industry connections. This position will oversee the recruitment/admissions team and is part of a cross-functional team that works with SPM students to help them become career-ready. This work includes advising students on career pathing, job search strategy, resume format and content, networking, and interviewing strategies. The position has leadership responsibility for the oversite of industry relationships and engagement activities and will work with members of the business community to facilitate the hiring of the program's student talent.

The Senior Associate Director reports to the Director of SPM and supervises two graduate recruiters, an events coordinator, and at times, student employees.

Occasional travel and frequent evening and weekend work are required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in communications, business, or related field plus five years of experience; OR ten years of experience identifying, developing, and stewarding corporate relationships in the sports product industry.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business or related field.
  • Additional related work experience in recruiting, human resources, sales/business development, management, or corporate relations with a proven record of developing, building, and assessing successful programs.
  • An established network of regional and industry contacts.
  • Experience working with career services in higher education and utilizing software platforms: Handshake, Salesforce, or similar programs.
