Director of Development - Institutional Advancement

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development and collaborating with directors of development embedded in units across campus. The Director of Development, Gift Planning (DOD-GP) will be responsible for maintaining Utah Valley University's (UVU) portfolio of committed planned gift donors and expanding reach to gift planning prospects. The DOD-GP will manage a coordinator and will seek new and maintain existing relationships with high net-worth prospects, donors, and professional advisors to acquire deferred gifts, trusts, bequests, annuities, and other types of planned gifts to benefit Utah Valley University's growing population of diverse students.

The DOD-GP is one of ten frontline fundraisers on campus and will join a growing development team of professionals who will be raising philanthropic funds for the university's inaugural comprehensive campaign, which will launch publicly this fall. UVU's Institutional Advancement team of over fifty-five Alumni Relations, Strategic Engagement, Advancement Services, and Development teammates are planning the university's first comprehensive fundraising campaign that will launch at the President's Scholarship Ball in October 2022.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff level experience OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.
