Job Summary:

The Survey Operations Manager, Evening collaborates with and is supervised by the Director of Survey Center and Educational Services to oversee and ensure the best data collection procedures are carried out by field staff and student workers during polling shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in the social sciences, business or any relevant field of study with a research background; 1 to 3 years survey data center experience or equivalent

Essential Functions:

Recruits, trains, schedules, supervises, monitors, and oversees the day-time and nightly shifts of employees and student workers in the survey phone center both on campus and virtually. Tracks sample, quotas, and other project requirements to ensure survey deadlines are met. Conducts or oversees the recording of training briefings before each shift, and evaluates performance of survey center staff and students.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with video conferencing tools, a learning management system, Microsoft Teams, Voxco or other CATI software is a plus

The Marist College Institute for Public Opinion (MIPO), home of The Marist Poll, is a survey research center at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York which regularly measures public opinion at the local, state, and national level. Founded in 1978, the Institute was the first college-based research center to include undergraduates in conducting survey research. MIPO is a state-of-the-art survey research center and a one of a kind educational opportunity for students.
