Job Details

Description: The primary responsibility of this twelve-month position is to provide vision, oversight, and creativity to and for all areas of student leadership and engagement here at Grove City College. This includes developing and providing direct oversight to the College’s student leadership program and nurturing an integrated vision for the Student Life & Learning Leadership and Engagement Team, consisting of the Director of Student Activities, Director of Student Recreation, and Impact Coordinator. This team oversees student activities, intramural and club sports, outdoor experiential education, and nearly 150 student clubs/organizations. The individual in is position will also oversee the College’s student leadership program and provide direct guidance and oversight to the College’s 27 fraternities, sororities, and men’s independent housing groups which provide a ripe environment for leadership development and culture shaping.

 

 

Requirements:  Requires a master’s degree or graduate education in related field. Five to seven years of progressively increasing responsibilities in a higher education setting is preferred.

 

 

The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication ability, strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management skills, organizational acumen, analytical skills along with a desire to work on a high-impact, energetic, collaborative team. The candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting student and employer needs, and be able to maintain a professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude. Finally, the individual should be aligned with the overarching Christian mission of the college and office.
