Position Purpose

Provide instructional/curricular support involving current ceramics techniques and to manage the associated ceramics studio operations.

 

This position reports to the Visual Arts Operations Manager and coordinates and oversees the operations of the ceramics studio. This position works collaboratively with other Instruction & Classroom Support Technicians in providing backup support for the other visual art shops and studios; thus, a broad knowledge of various art media is important.

 

This position supports the faculty, staff and students in an often-changing, multidisciplinary academic environment and must remain flexible in providing support to all users of the ceramics studio while fostering a safe, welcoming environment for a diverse body of faculty and students.

 

This is a half-time, overtime-eligible position on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College.

 

Salary and Benefits: $1,796.50 – $2,412.00 per month of half-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
