Job Description:
The Cardiology Veterinary Service Representative at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital provides support for the Cardiology team. This position provides administrative support to our Cardiology team, coordinating appointment receiving, handling phone calls and emails to the team, triaging patient and client needs appropriately, and communicating with our referring veterinarians. In addition, this individual will assist with checking patients in and out of the hospital, taking deposits and payments, following up on outstanding accounts receivable needs, and ensuring proper paperwork is completed for patient visits. The Service Representative coordinates many aspects of the receiving day in addition to ensuring that patient records are complete, calling in prescriptions, and communication via phone and email with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the hospital. The individual works closely with the technicians and doctors on the service under direction from their manager.
This is a full time position working 8a-5p Monday-Friday and is considered essential personnel.
Expected Salary:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the veterinary or medical field
