Sidwell Friends School, a coeducational Quaker day school, seeks a part-time Admissions Group Visit Leader to work with the Admissions Department, located on its DC campus. The admissions office runs, as part of its application process for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants, 90-minute visits. Each leader manages a component of the visit – free play, story-time, circle time, and snack and contributes to the summary comments about each child’s participation when the visit concludes. Typically, leaders are on campus from about 8:30am until at least 11:30am.

Great group leaders enjoy working with diverse young children of all ages and likely has some experience in childcare or early childhood education programs. This is a seasonal part-time role that runs from early October through mid-January. Group leaders are also invited to participate in committee meetings as recommendations for admission are made in February.

Each leader receives a stipend for the work paid monthly, October through January.

As a condition of employment, all employees who are employed with the school are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and able to provide proof of such vaccination. To make application for a medical or religious exemption, please contact the human resources department.
