Job Details
Emporia State University is looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Help Desk Agent within the Information Technology (IT) department. Candidates must show an aptitude to solve problems with an approach that puts customer service first. They must demonstrate an enthusiasm for using technology as a tool to enable students, faculty and staff to achieve goals both in the classroom and beyond.
The role of the Help Desk Agent is to provide Level 1 Help Desk Support for all university staff, students and faculty. Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance, the agent is responsible for assisting customers and providing support related to university computer systems, software, and hardware. Receives, records, and reconciles customer/end-user technical questions on use and implementation of computer products in a timely and professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma, or equivalent, with 1 or more years of experience in service desk environment Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in relevant field, preferred Industry-standard certifications such as: HDI, PMP, MS certifications, A+, ITIL Foundations preferred
Preferred Experience:
Experience in Help Desk/Call center environment Experience with training/instruction Experience working in higher education Project management coursework or experience Experience with cloud-based storage systems Experience with ERP systems a plus
COMPENSATION:
