Dean, College of Health and Human Sciences

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (N.C. A&T) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the John R. and Kathy R. Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences. 

The Dean of the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences is the chief academic and administrative officer for the College. The Dean provides visioning in support of the university's strategic plan and oversees the implementation of the plan. In addition to leading the College's academic programs, the Dean is responsible for managing and allocating financial resources; fostering excellence in teaching, research and scholarship; supporting faculty and staff development; and building strong relationships with other university's, colleges, and the external community. The Dean reports to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The Dean will have a unique opportunity to work with colleagues and stakeholders to align the mission and vision of the college with the mission and vision of the university. The college is expected to engage in strong, innovative interdisciplinary thinking, teaching, and research in both traditional and emerging disciplines.
