Position Summary

The School of Dental Medicine is seeking a Dental Hygienist to:

• Perform preventive and therapeutic treatment and instruction of Prosthodontic patients in oral self-care techniques
• Deliver appropriate, efficient and effective patient-centered treatment on average of 6 to 10 patients per day
• Provide patient education
• Recognize the need for further professional consultation and possible referral
• Conduct administrative/operational tasks
• Instruct and demonstrate clinical procedures to students

Minimum Qualifications

• NYS Registered Dental Hygienist License
• BLS / CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, experience working with diverse populations, and attention to detail
• Over five years’ of experience
• Experience with hybrids and implants
