Job Description

The School of Education, Social Work, and Psychological Sciences Social Work (SW) Field Administrator will work directly with the SW Field Director and the faculty that work in the Field operations. Specific duties to include:

• Manage the Field department’s quality assurance system for Practicum placements, and training components for current students and community placement sites, including managing electronic assessment and accreditation tools that track information such as:
  • Student demographics
  • Student performance in practicum
  • Foundation and Clinical practicum site assessment data
  • Mid-year and final assessment data
  • Program performance indicators
• Manage technical software/data management systems
  • Develop and maintain data base of current practicum site descriptions
  • Coordinate liaison/student lists
  • Create and implement evaluations for all levels of Field programing
• Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure relevant data are collected, analyzed, and reported.
• Assist Field Director and program faculty with the preparation of relevant program review and accreditation reports and documents.
• Manage contracts, ensuring compliance with department standards and UM system legal counsel.
• Design, create, and continually maintain the placement data to ensure accurate information for tracking placements and specific changes to student records.
• Update appropriate handbooks for student teaching and other field experiences as needed.
• Assist the Director of Field Education with programs and communications related to field experience, including orientations for field placements, and other projects as assigned.
• Audit students’ submission of Field documentation.
• Prepare reports to assist Field Director with grading.
• Direct communications between field office and students in field practicum.
• Develop and maintain on-line presence of Field to increase community awareness.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or higher with 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and implement.
Experience in office management.
Excellent verbal, written, and virtual communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Strong computer skills and database management skills.
Proven ability to coordinate programmatic activities to achieve departmental goals.

CHARACTERISTICS OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Superb interpersonal skills.
Ability to demonstrate the initiative needed to learn the department’s current data management software system and support others in its use.
Detailed oriented.
Self-directed and can work independently, as well as collaboratively.
Flexible in an ever-changing environment.

Full Time/Part Time

Full-time, benefit eligible

Salary

$48,900 - 68,815 commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity
