The College of Architecture, Design and the Arts (CADA) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking a full-time College Recruiter to begin August 2022. This position recruits prospective high school and transfer students to the College of Architecture,


Design, and the Arts through the implementation of integrated marketing and recruitment strategies and individual communications. Representing the college at recruitment fairs, visits to high schools and community colleges, and campus tours, the Recruiter engages with prospective students and their families, school counselors, and community organizations to increase the visibility of the college and its programs. The recruiter will also have responsibility for areas of the admissions process, including but not limited to application review, recommending admissions decisions, and coordinating with campus admissions.




Bachelor’s degree in a college discipline and minimum of two years’ work experience. A minimum of one-year experience in student recruitment, advising, or related area in a higher education setting.


Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to situationally adapt the style, tone, and voice. High level of familiarity and use of social media. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent public presentation skills with experience presenting to large and small audiences. Experience with, and sensitivity to, diverse populations and communication styles. Familiarity with standard office software, project management software and publications software strongly preferred. Knowledge of trends and issues in college disciplines (architecture, art, art history, design, theatre, and music) and higher education strongly preferred. Travel up to 25% of the time over Chicagoland area, State of Illinois, and in targeted areas in the United States required.
