Tenure/Tenure-Track Faculty - Full, Associate and Assistant Professors (Multiple Positions) in the Department of Accounting



Job Description & Qualification
The Department of Accounting in the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for assistant, associate and full faculty positions in all topical areas, including audit, financial, managerial and tax. The positions will begin on August 16, 2023.


Job Qualifications: We are seeking faculty at multiple ranks - Assistant, Associate (with tenure) and Full.


Applicants at the Assistant Professor level must have a Ph.D. completed or near completion and strong potential for quality research and teaching.


Applicants at the Associate (tenured) or Full Professor level must have a Ph.D. and an excellent record of scholarly research activity in leading accounting journals and teaching consistent with a senior-level faculty appointment.


Job Description: The positions will encompass research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, service to the department, college and university, and outreach to the business community. Ideal candidates for Associate and Full professor roles will have a strong interest in working with doctoral students and taking part in department leadership opportunities.


Compensation, discretionary budgets, and teaching loads at each rank are comparable to Public Big 10 institutions and other large research-oriented public universities.
