Be yourself and start your career here. Help us build a better Brockport! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport's, REOC campus is currently accepting applications for The Director of Academic Affairs. This role oversees all aspects of academic affairs at the REOC. They will research, develop, and implement new training programs and all curricula matters. They will lead the recruitment, training, retention, evaluation, and support of academic faculty/staff and assure proper assessment of student learning to enhance and improve instruction and student success. They will oversee program approval and re-approval, distance learning platforms, labor market research, and the academic calendar. Additionally, they will assure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines including performance guidelines promulgated by the State University of New York and the faculty and staff contracts. The qualified candidate will also build consensus through community outreach to enhance program development and liaise with local school districts, businesses, and community-based organizations to address educational and training needs of the community. Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Education in Management/Leadership, or
closely related field by time of appointment from a college or
university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an
internationally recognized college or university,
- At least three years in an administrative or supervisory
position.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in an academic
institution.
- Experience working with diverse student and organizational
populations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Outlook and Word.
- Ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks
simultaneously, and work within a team environment.
- Available to work occasional evenings and weekends with the
ability to travel from the REOC campus to meetings and
events.
- Valid NYS driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: - Terminal degree from an accredited higher education institution
in the US or abroad.
- Experience working with faculty in a unionized
environment.
- Ability to collect data and analyze data to support
decision-making.
Work Schedule: 40 hrs/week/one evening per week Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $82,000. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.
