Senior Coordinator, Program Management



Summary

The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery Education team is actively recruiting an essential administrative team member to lead our graduate medical education program and be part of an innovative team in education. This position is essential to the department and College's mission work within ACGME compliance. The coordinator will manage the educational ACGME and TMB approved programs within the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery. The position will maintain ACGME and TMB compliance for all programs; manage MedHub onboarding, offboarding, evaluations, pay slot allocations, and rotation schedules and any other aspects as directed. Coordinator will lead Program development. The management of the recruitment for its programs in compliance with GME and NRMP is an exciting aspect of this position.

This position may offer a hybrid/flexible work arrangement.

Job Duties
  • Develops and schedules curriculum for educational programs.
  • Manages website and recruitment for programs in compliance to NRMP and AAMC.
  • Leads Annual Program Evaluation committee and Clinical Competency Committee meetings with program directors.
  • Performs daily communication and tasks with trainees in management of programs.
  • Develops and maintain program handbooks and guidebooks as applicable.
  • Maintains MedHub in all aspects.
  • Develops evaluation assessment of the program if needed.
  • Develops educational programs with innovation in today's learning environment for advancement in educational training.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; a relevant bachelor's degree in lieu of experience may be considered.
  • Strong computer skills.
