Accessibility Resources & Services and COVID Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE:  Pomona is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Coordinator of Accessibility Resources & Services/ COVID.  Working in the Division of Student Affairs and reporting to the Director of Accessibility Resources & Services (with a dotted line to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs/ Dean of Students for Academic and Personal Success), the ARS/ COVID coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development of innovative approaches utilizing available resources to meet the needs of students with disabilities, emphasizing independence, wellness, and full participation in the learning process; and accurately communicate ARS policies and procedures to students.  The coordinator will also support the College’s COVID-19 policies, including (but not limited to) isolation assignment logistics (including dining, housing, and transportation), aligning with county and TCCS health mandates, and supporting the mental, physical, and academic well-being of positively diagnosed students.  The ARS/ COVID coordinator collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and community members to support equitable, inclusive, and sustainable learning environments. The ARS/ COVID coordinator works closely with campus offices, including but not limited to: Counseling/ Student Health Services, Campus Life, Student Conduct, the Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Study Abroad, affinity/ identity centers, and student success centers to both inform and enhance resources and services in support of student learning and engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.

Licenses/Certificates: A valid driver’s license or equivalent means of reliable transportation to off-site meetings and events is required.

Experience: At least two to three years of experience in student accessibility support, academic advising, student affairs, or experience with programs, and/or similar responsibilities

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS: Regular, full-time, exempt position.  Starting pay rate: $25.30/hour.

REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours will be required. Travel may be required. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
