The Assistant Director for the department of Diversity and College Access (DCA) develops and evaluates programs and curriculum designed to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Contributes to work unit program management, strategic planning, and personnel management and strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Furthermore, assists with strategic planning and manages the implementation of strategic initiatives within the unit of operation, oversight of the Centers’ budget, and supervises full-time staff in student success centers (Multicultural Resource Center, Native American Resource Center, and Queer Resource Center) to promote college access, matriculation, academic transition, retention, and graduation of historically underrepresented/ underserved student populations (i.e., African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous/Native American, Asian American and Pacific Islander/Southeast Asians and LGBTQ+). The Assistant Director will lead the LEAD bridge program, English for College precollege program, and serves as the retention coordinator for DCA. This position will also assist the Director in providing leadership for programs, services, and assessment to support successful college transition, retention, and graduation of historically underrepresented/underserved students.
