About the Position:
The Division of Information Technology strives to be a strategic, innovative and best‐in‐class IT organization that provides a leading‐edge technology environment for students, faculty and staff to advance the University's mission, vision and goals. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Information Technology - Administration team as the Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Exempt I. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Information Technology/Innovation Officer, the Administrative Analyst provides executive level administrative support to meet the goals of Information Technology. Assists the AVP with the day-to-day administrative operations of the department. Serves as the primary contact for the AVP. Coordinates staff events and meeting logistics. Independently and in collaboration with the Associate Director for Innovation, coordinates and completes departmental projects for AVP. Supports AVP innovation projects and programs through independent planning, evaluation of project goals, and reporting of outcomes and data. Responsible for project deadlines and required to make independent judgement calls on issues regarding project progress. Works as liaison for AVP with IT department managers in order to see timeline through. Independently edits and reviews quality of all AVP innovation documentation. Maintains accurate and timely reconciliation and record-keeping for all purchasing-card purchases and invoices for AVP. Updates office policies and procedures handbook. Independently, process timekeeping for the division. Works closely with campus departments. Develops agendas, meeting research, and presentation materials as needed for AVP meetings and committees. Takes minutes, tracks decisions and action items, and develops timelines for said meetings. Acts as innovation scout for the IT innovation team researches, analyzes new ideas, uses creativity in the development of the new technologies that can contribute to the division and strategic goals. As innovation scout, researches new and upcoming technologies applicable within information technology and higher education. Analyzes the opportunities, risks, and strengths of innovation implementation proposals. Responsible for independently overseeing division of Information Technology innovation taskforce monthly meetings, updates, and progress. Anticipating and addressing problems within the innovation taskforce such as scheduling, subtasks, project issues, etc. Creates adhoc innovation implementation activities. Works closely with AVP/Innovation Officer and Associate Director for Innovations to investigate and analyze technical solutions for student success. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with individuals and organizations reflecting a broad range of identities, perspectives, and experiences. Manages complex and constantly changing calendars, prioritizing meetings based on importance/urgency and taking into consideration executive needs for preparation and travel time. Tracks assignments, projects, action items and provides required follow up through completion. Provides assistance to Human Resource Analyst with divisional recruitments. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs plus two years of related experience.

Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.
