The Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Rowan University is seeking a part-time visiting faculty to teach upper-level elective courses for Biological Sciences majors, and also to assist in the laboratory preparation/coordination for other classes. The courses are to be taught at the Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) campus in Mount Laurel, NJ, as part of the RCBC 3+1 program . The courses to be taught will be dependent on the expertise of the successful candidate and the programmatic needs of the Department.

A full teaching load for this position is 18 credits per academic year (fall and spring semesters combined), but some release time will be granted for laboratory preparation/coordination. Additional duties include service to the Department.

Master’s degree in biological sciences, or a field clearly related to the courses to be taught, is required. Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience, favorable recommendations from references, and favorable previous teaching evaluations.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position. This position is a 1-year contract (1-Sep-2022 to 30-Jun-2023) and is contingent upon funding.
