Accountabilities:
The Department of Theatre at Colgate University is seeking a Stage Manager (SM) for the Fall 2022 production of Sanctuary City by Martyna Majok. Dates for this contract are: September 7 -November 16, 2022. Under the supervision of the Technical Director, the SM will manage all logistics of the rehearsal process and interact with other departments. Duties include assisting the Stage Director with organizing and running of all staging and technical rehearsals. The SM will lead in the creation of rehearsal schedules, running sheets, and all production paperwork, including the preparation of the calling script, and coordinate and call all cues during technical rehearsals and performances. The SM will work with a team of two student Assistant Stage Managers.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
- Previous stage management experience.
- Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office and Google Docs.
- Working knowledge of professional and academic theatrical practices.
- Excellent management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a large workload over a short period of time.
