This is a full time, 35-hour week position, which provides
administrative support to the Chairperson and faculty of Social
Work, and Gerontology. The general purpose of this position is to
manage internal and external assessment, accreditation, compliance,
and related reporting at the state, national, school and University
level. The position will lead the Department’s efforts to collect,
analyze, and learn from program, and course data in order to fulfil
internal and external reporting requirements. The individual
holding this position must be able to work independently, with a
high degree of accuracy, and collaborate effectively as part of the
Social Work Department. Reports to the Chairperson of the Social

Data Collection and Monitoring: develop and maintain
spreadsheets (e.g. job placements, enrollment, faculty load, etc.)
Utilize Qualtrics, AEFIS, excel and a variety of databases for
data collection and outcomes reporting .Attend all required
Gather, summarize, and report program assessment results for
annual internal and external accreditation requirements.
Assist in developing material and statistics for Council on
Social Work Education.
Coordinate the accreditation process of the Social Work
Registration and Advising. Coordinate with faculty, students,
and registrar to resolve issues arising from registration. Serve as
the point person for all registration problems and proactively seek
to resolve issues which eases the process for the students.
Coordinate and serve as departmental liaison with GCU
admissions personnel. Organize and represent the Social Work
Department at events both on and off campus. Maintain and track
reports of student applications. Organize orientation of new BSW
and MSW students.
Update and maintain a current database of Social Work
Department students and graduates.
Update and maintain confidential student files to include
Provide information to students to ensure they are aware of
on-going department activities and handle follow-up letters to any
Oversee distribution and return of various surveys to current
students, graduates and community agencies.
Assist Social Work Club and Honor Society when necessary.
Coordinate departmental events such as monthly advocacy
initiatives and the annual Professional Networking Event and

Associates degree required; BA preferred
Demonstrated office and administrative skills, such as phones,
correspondence, mailings, scheduling, filing, use of office

Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) with
outside agencies and other GCU departments.
Excellent computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, and
e-mail; aptitude for learning new software.
Computer experience with presentation and/or graphic software
(ex. PowerPoint, Publisher) is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in survey design and analysis.
