The Department of Biology at Shippensburg University invites applications for multiple adjunct instructor positions for the courses listed below and/or a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Human Anatomy and Physiology for the 2022-2023 academic year. Assigned courses will include a two-course introductory-level sequence of Human Anatomy and Physiology and introductory courses for majors and/or non-majors. Courses may also include an upper-division course based on the applicant’s area of expertise. Depending on the interest of the candidate, the position could also include the assignment of a teaching mentor from among the Biology faculty. In addition to fulfillment of teaching responsibilities, faculty members are expected to perform other duties as assigned in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.

For a part-time/full-time instructor position, candidates must have a minimum of a master’s degree in Biology or a related field. To be considered for a visiting assistant professor position, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field from an accredited institution.

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check as well as sufficient course enrollment and budget allocations. Review of applications will begin immediately with those received starting June 30, 2022, and continue until filled.
