The Philosophy & Religion Department invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach one or more of the following courses: PHIL 101 Introduction to Philosophy; PHIL 201 Business Ethics; PHIL 220 Medical Ethics for the Fall semester beginning in August 2022.
A minimum of a master’s degree in Philosophy. At least one year of college-level teaching experience is preferred.

The preference is for class sessions to be taught in-person, but a hybrid schedule may be considered.

As a part of your application, please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae/resume, and unofficial copies of transcripts from schools attended.

  • Design courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations
  • Plan lessons
  • Grade assignments, essays, etc.
  • Respond to student needs in person or electronically
  • Minimum MA in Philosophy, or related discipline is required
  • Minimum one year college-level teaching experience in the field is preferred
