We are seeking outstanding and innovative candidates with active research programs to join the Precision One Health Hiring Initative at the University of Georgia. Successful candidates for this position will have the opportunity to participate in an interdisciplinary precision medicine program that includes a team of basic and applied scientists, engineers, frontline practitioners, policymakers and communications experts all working together with OMICS experts to translate basic findings from the bench to the bedside or industry, with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of humans and animals. This position requires some teaching duties at the undergraduate level. The Precision One Health initiative at UGA seeks to hire a total 16 new faculty positions that will focus on three pillars of disease management including 1) pathogenesis and diagnostics (this position), and 2) preventive measures and 3) therapeutic intervention.
