Job Duties:
The Assessment Coordinator for Continuous Improvement (ACCI) will coordinate accreditation tasks and key assessments across all programs within the College of Education as well as providing strategic support for continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate multiple continuous improvement projects that impact all 14 teacher preparation programs within the College of Education
  • Collaborate with faculty to design and implement successful strategies for collecting data on continuous improvement projects within the College of Education
  • Coordinate and oversee data collection for key assessments to address needs of national, state, and institutional accreditation agencies for 14 unique teacher preparation programs within the College of Education
  • Maintain a repository of protected, current data tables of key assessments for departments and faculty access and use
  • Analyze data and recognize patterns that have implications on student performance and retention
  • Train faculty on how to effectively collect data and ensure timely data collection and completion
  • Coordinate efforts to validate key instruments and perform instrument reliability tests and inter-rater reliability trainings
  • Maintain knowledge of national, state, institutional, and programmatic standards and requirements for data reporting to national (CAEP, Title II), state (CIEP), and institutional agencies (OIR), including relevant meetings, seminars, and/or conferences
  • Assist faculty in writing and completing accreditation reports for national (CAEP, Title II) and state (CIEP), agencies
  • Serve as S&L (formerly LiveText) administrator for the COE
  • Create, administer, and distribute LiveText/Via/SL&L assessments
  • Adhere to a schedule of deadlines for data collection and analysis
  • Assist Dean and faculty with timely, exploratory research on potential new programs and projects, and write research summaries on the results
  • Represent COE assessment in university and college-level committees including the University Assessment Committee and the COE Performance Committee
  • Provide technical and administrative support for special projects and initiatives within the College of Education, including grant writing and editing
  • Work with Teacher Education Services staff to ensure data collection and reporting
  • Produce a regular College of Education newsletter containing articles on faculty, students, and alumni
  • Support other duties as assigned by the Dean

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Experience leading projects that include diverse personnel and achieve measurable outcomes
  • Experience with data management and report writing, preferably in an education setting
  • Possess excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to collect and manage quantitative and qualitative data
  • Possess exceptional skills in technology to organize, edit, and update spreadsheets, databases, assessments, and support curriculum design and alignment standards.
  • Ability to support accreditation (e.g. CAEP, CIEP) process
  • Understand the intricacies and implications of multiple national accrediting bodies
  • Ability to track several projects simultaneously

  • Master’s Degree in Education
  • Five years of teaching experience
