Applications are being accepted for the position of wellness center coordinator & sports performance coach. This position will organize, implement, and supervise strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs that align with NCAA Division III compliance standards for all of Cornell's varsity athletics teams with the exception of football which has its own strength and conditioning coach. This will include teaching proper techniques and safety for all lifts and movement drills and implementing and enforcing facilities rules, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will communicate regularly with administrators, athletic training staff, and head coaches. This position will also assist student-athletes with injury prevention training in consultation with the athletic training staff.
In addition, this position will direct the Small Athletic & Wellness Center operations to include, but not limited to ensuring that the facility is appropriately staffed, managing hiring processes and paperwork for student employees, overseeing campus usage, serving as a point person for equipment maintenance, and providing advice regarding the purchase of new equipment.
