With leading companies at the table from day one, we're together creating an agile workforce prepared to thrive in a competitive landscape powered by artificial intelligence, and an environment for innovation in the life sciences and other high-growth sectors.

The Director of Professional Programs at the Roux Institute at Northeastern University will provide the leadership for overseeing the growth and delivery of a diversity of programs offered at Northeastern's Portland, Maine campus, including the programming in Analytics and Project Management from the College of Professional Studies (CPS), as well as for-credit and not-for-credit learning experiences provided by CPS and by other Northeastern Colleges such as the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and School of Law.

The Director will teach several courses per year at the Roux and will have the opportunity to work with the Colleges to recruit, assign and supervise full- and part-time faculty to enrich our courses at the Portland, Maine campus, in coordination with program leads . The Director will serve as the internal and external champion for professional programs at the Roux, while simultaneously ensuring successful delivery of our academic programs in conjunction with Roux and Northeastern faculty, students, Learner Services, enrollment and academic leadership, among others.

The Director will partner with the Roux partnerships team as well as relevant central Northeastern organizations in the design, staffing and delivery of related non-degree programming such as courses for partner learners, workforce learning advisory, partnership development and other lifelong learning experiences.

In addition, the Director is expected to collaborate and exchange best practices with faculty and administration in all of the Global University System Campuses in the areas of curriculum development, student recruitment, student experience, corporate relationship development, and staffing. The Director will interface with industry, philanthropic supporters and strategic partners to build the program's brand and reach. Professional programs at the Roux already enroll a substantial number of ambitious students and are built on relationships with major corporations located in Portland, Maine. The Director will be charged with continuing to build an innovative and dynamic academic atmosphere that contributes to the university's mission of redefining graduate education and also to the Roux's mission of economic impact in Maine. The position requires an entrepreneurial spirit and strategic vision to guide program growth.

Candidates will be considered who have EITHER 1) 10+ years of professional experience in applied analytics, applied machine learning, business analytics, or project management and a Master's or higher degree in a related area, OR 2) 5+ years of professional experience and a terminal degree in a related area (PhD, EdD or other terminal professional degree such as an MBA, MD or JD) . The terminal degree [or the commitment to attaining the terminal degree] is strongly preferred, and teaching experience in a field relevant to Analytics and/or Project Management is ideal but not required.
