Program Coordinator Center for Civic Engagement

Drew University is seeking a Program Coordinator in the Center for Civic Engagement Department. This 10-month position reports to the Director of the Center of Civic Engagement. In consultation with the Director of Civically-Engaged Teaching and Learning, the Program Coordinator assists with executing the priorities and strategies of the Center for Civic Engagement, maintaining the smooth administrative functioning of the Center, and supporting students and faculty in CE programs. This position supports the Center’s programs, including Drew Action Scholars Program in all its dimensions, providing administrative support, student hours tracking, and budget support. The Program Coordinator is responsible for data and budget tracking, marketing of CCE events and accomplishments, and supporting partnerships with non-profit/government community organizations. The ideal candidate will be an individual with high functioning analytical skills, event coordination experience, and data coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in the management, communication, and tracking of CE programs including CBL courses, the Drew Action Scholars program.

  • Assist in managing office administrative functions, including MOUs with community partners, management of student contracts, transportation logistics, vendor contracts, and background checks.

  • Financial tracking includes tracking CCE expenditures, processing orders, account reconciliation, purchase orders, and contracts.

  • Assist in event planning, logistics, and marketing including liaising with other departments to support event management.

  • Assist in marketing and proactively communicating accomplishments, participating in collaborative activities and projects aligned with the mission of the CCE, and otherwise increasing its visibility.

  • Organize and track multiple projects and engage internal and external stakeholders in collaborative problem-solving.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

List the minimum academic requirements for this position: Bachelors required, Masters, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field,1-3 years of relevant professional experience.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Administrative support, budget tracking, and data collection experience

  • Ability to organize and track multiple projects and engage internal and external stakeholders in collaborative problem-solving with accuracy and grace.

  • Ability to use social media effectively to market events and accomplishments

  • Proficient in the use of Google Office Suite and MS Office.

  • Collaborative, self-directed, outcome-oriented, and able and willing to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.

  • Excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills
