Job Details

Description: The Director of Student Care is a twelve-month position, reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Life, that plays a vital role in enhancing student thriving and success at Grove City College. As a member of the Student Life and Learning Thriving Team, the Director’s primary responsibilities include a lead role in the creation and oversight of the College’s new behavioral intervention team, tandem oversight of the student conduct process with a lead role in investigating allegations of sexual assault and harassment, responsibility for leading the College’s educational efforts concerning violence prevention, alcohol consumption, and other collegiate concerns, and the review and revision of College policies in consultation with the Associate Dean of Student Life and Vice President of Student Life and Learning.

 

 

Requirements:  Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs or related field strongly preferred. Requires three-to-five years of experience in a higher education setting. Previous conduct and investigation experience preferred.

 

 

The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication ability, strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management skills, organizational acumen, analytical skills along with a desire to work on a high-impact, energetic, collaborative team. The candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting student and employer needs, and be able to maintain a professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude. Finally, the individual should be aligned with the overarching Christian mission of the college and office.
