Health Systems Management and Policy Faculty

The Oregon Health & Science University and Portland State University School of Public Health in Portland, OR invites applications for two tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor positions starting in the Fall of 2023 to contribute to advancing the School’s ongoing work on social justice, anti-racism, equity, diversity and inclusion through their teaching, research, governance, and professional service. The focus of teaching will be primarily in the Master of Public Health: Health Management and Policy and PhD in Health Systems and Policy programs. We seek faculty colleagues with broad expertise in health systems management and policy, with specific expertise in addressing health inequities from institutional, systems, policy, and/or managerial perspectives. Candidates should have the ability to teach in several areas related to health systems, health services delivery, and policy. The positions are nine-month, tenure track, renewable appointments at Portland State University.

The successful candidates will develop and maintain a robust program of research and scholarship, seek funding to support research, teach graduate and possibly undergraduate courses, and advise and mentor master’s degree and PhD students. All faculty are expected to participate in program and School governance, and to engage with community organizations for community-based learning.
