The Assistant Director will assist with the development, oversight, facilitation, marketing, evaluation, and assessment of multicultural programming initiatives. The position will also advise the Black Student Cultural Programming Board (BSCPB) and provide advisement and support for a cadre of multicultural student organizations and support OHIO’s multicultural student recruitment activities.

Primary Accountabilities:

Program Development and Management
 

 

  • Develop, plan, and implement existing and expanded programming to support the inclusion and greater sense of belonging for multicultural student populations in collaboration with Division of Diversity and Inclusion colleagues.
  • Develop, implement, and lead the OHIO Men of Excellence Network program.
  • Develop program evaluation and assessment protocols to measure the success of the O-MEN program and other programming initiatives that inform continuous improvement.


Student Organization Advising
 

  • Advise the Black Student Cultural Programming Board (BSCPB) and provide appropriate logistical support for the Board’s programming efforts.
  • Advise and provide logistical and administrative support for an assigned cadre of multicultural student organizations


Supervision and Professional Development
 

  • Establish and maintain weekly and/or bi-weekly supervisory meetings with assigned supervisor.
  • Supervise graduate assistants and students staff members as assigned.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities as offered by the Division and/or the University.
  • Support other Division of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives as assigned by the Director and/or the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion
