Job Description:

The Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University (http://www.binghamton.edu/biology/ ) invites applications for a Lecturer with expertise in the instruction of CURE-based introductory laboratories. Principal responsibilities are the instruction of a large-enrollment CURE-based introductory laboratory course, development/refinement of CURE-based instructional modules with emphasis on ecological and molecular biology techniques and principles, and help with the instruction of introductory courses. Candidates with prior experience in CURE, demonstrated experience in teaching large enrollment courses, interest and ability in the use of alternative and innovative instructional methods, and familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom, will be given preference. Candidates comfortable in a student-centered environment and committed to the college mission are encouraged to apply. Initial appointment is for three years, beginning September 1, 2022, with the possibility of renewal.

Requirements:

Master's degree required, Ph.D. preferred

Prior experiences in CURE preferred

Prior experience in in teaching large enrollment courses, interest and ability in the use of alternative and innovative instructional methods, and familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom, preferred
