The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Houston invites applications for a full-time, one-year teaching appointment. We are looking for a dynamic Visiting Scholar to offer four in-person courses over two semesters during the 2022-23 academic year.

Successful candidates will be able to teach courses in any area of Comparative Cultural Studies, ideally with thematic or topical synergies with existing areas of research and teaching strength in the department.

The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Houston is an interdisciplinary department that is home to curricular programs in Anthropology, Liberal Studies, and Religious Studies. Qualifications :

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a discipline or interdisciplinary field closely related to cultural studies, or provide evidence of progress toward completion of the degree and confirmation that the Ph.D. will have been awarded by August 15, 2022.
