Job Description


This position is responsible for the office operations and administrative support for both Faculty Senate and Staff Council. This position will also assist with planning and implementation of events and programs for both Staff Council and Faculty Senate.


Office Operations
  • Conduct assigned office operations and administrative supports to Staff Council and Faculty Senate
  • Assist with departmental budget preparation for Faculty Senate
  • Tracks and monitors Staff Council program budget with coordination with the Staff Council President and Treasurer
  • Conduct duties such as deposits, travel, purchase orders, catering, and sales processing to include cash handling
  • Manage record keeping such as departmental SOPs, meeting minutes distribution, voting/polling, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Event Coordination
  • Assist in coordinating Staff Council and Faculty Senate's standing committees and sub-committees' event planning and logistics
  • Support various program's fundraising campaigns and sponsorship.
  • Support with Dorothy Yeater Scholarship program's disbursement of funds
  • Other duties as assigned

Communication Coordination
  • Update and maintain calendars, newsletter, and social media sites.
  • Maintain both Staff Council and Faculty Senate's websites and coordinate effective event promotions
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Additional education/experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum qualifications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Intermediate experience with event coordination.
  • Familiarity with Cascade CMS application.
