The Education Department at Waynesburg University is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Education beginning August 2022.  Completed doctorate preferred or working toward a doctorate in special education or related field of education. Candidate must have certification and experience as a special educator. A minimum of five years teaching experience in K-12 special education with active public school teaching certification is required. In addition, experience in Special Education assessment and the Pennsylvania Department of Education IEP process is preferred. Background and certification in one or more of the follow academic areas is preferred: literacy, mathematics, science, social studies and/or instructional technology. The successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester and may supervise student teachers in the field. Background and curricular needs will dictate which courses will be scheduled.  In addition, the individual will be expected to perform normal teaching duties at the college level including advising at the undergraduate level; mentoring and supervising student teachers and field experiences; developing, reviewing, and revising curriculum; participating in service to the University and to the department, the discipline, and the local community.
