ROLE of the POSITION

 

This position exists in order to provide academic advising and career/major exploration for UNLV students in the Exploring major and other students interested in major changes. Knowledge of academic advising and counseling techniques is required as well as presentation skills. Under the supervision of the Director of Advising, this position must also work with various campus entities in order to keep abreast on changes in curriculum, policies and procedures in this advanced role in advising.  Additional duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of experience working with college students in an advising capacity or other related experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

SALARY RANGE

 

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions.
