Minimum Qualifications
• Earned Master's degree.
• Knowledge of current trends and issues facing the student conduct field and higher education; demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines related to student conduct.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, a collaborative communication style, strong interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
• Must be detail-oriented and computer proficient with strong organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. License/Certification Required Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties of the Assistant Director of Student Conduct include the following:
  • Serve as a Conduct Review Officer, reviewing, investigating, adjudicating, and managing conduct cases;
  • oversight of either the academic integrity process or student conduct board process, including coordinating programming and outreach efforts;
  • advise conduct boards, including coordinating selections, training, and evaluation;
  • assist in addressing off-campus process conduct violations;
  • serve, as needed, as a Student Conduct Counselor during formal conduct resolutions;
  • supervise a graduate assistant or intern and practicum students, including coordinating training and evaluation;
  • serve as liaison to local law enforcement, including University Police and off-campus agencies;
  • serve as a liaison to University Housing staff;
  • serve as member of the Dean of Students on-call rotation;
  • research and assist with the implementation of trends and best practices related to student conduct and academic integrity;
  • work collaboratively with units throughout the University;
  • assist with the day-to-day operations of the office including file maintenance and administrative support.
