Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Director of the Master of Science in Nursing program.  This is an exciting new program that builds from the strengths of the existing traditional BSN, RN to BSN and LVN programs.  The new, completely online MSN program will initially have Family Nurse Practitioner and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner tracks, with Nurse Educator and Nurse Leader tracks in the planning stages.  Approval of the new programs from our accreditor, SACSCOC, is expected in time for a summer launch of the degrees.  The new MSN director is required to hold licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with a doctoral degree in nursing. The successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively with the other directors and faculty of the BSN and LVN programs, is expected to be administratively competent to direct an online program, including hiring of part-time and full-time staff, filing of reports and managing the MSN nursing budget. The successful candidate will also work closely with a third-party program design company in course oversight, recruiting and success coaching.  The successful candidate will also participate fully in departmental duties, committee service, campus activities and engage in scholarship or creative activities aligned with institutional goals.  Although the program is online, the director is expected to be a local resident.

Qualifications: The position requires a doctoral degree with Nurse Practitioner licensure.  Teaching experience at the collegiate level and in the online environment is preferred.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. In addition to completing the online application, applicants should upload a cover letter expressing interest in the position, as well as a curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts, the names, email addresses and telephone numbers of three references and a statement of teaching philosophy.  Materials that cannot be uploaded should be emailed to hr@schreiner.edu.
