Job Description:

Implement, maintain, and champion a student focused CRM using Slate by Technolutions.  In partnership with peers in ITS and across the university, lead the technical and process integrations to ensure the CRM provides a comprehensive view of current students, enhances communication, and gathers information from students directly in conjunction with interactions across campus. 

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as project manager and technical lead for implementation of Slate CRM. Work in cooperation with faculty and professional advisors, staff from the office of the Dean of the College, Student Affairs, Dean of Students, LEEP Student Success Network, Student Enrollment Management Group, and other campus partners to set goals and priorities, and design and implement a project plan.
  • Serve as the primary business liaison to the rest of ITS with regards to CRM implementation, maintenance, and development.
  • In partnership with the Manager of ETL Development and Systems Integration and others, manage the flow of data between the CRM and other systems including, but not limited to, Ellucian Banner, Symplicity Advocate and Accommodate, PowerFAIDS, and Canvas. Responsible for Slate system maintenance, query development, process automation, and the creation of workflows, rules, reports, and dashboards.
  • Maintain and administer security roles.  Manage user account creation, maintenance, and security auditing.
  • Provide business process analysis, technical support, and problems solving to help campus partners update business processes to take advantage of the CRM. Oversee integration testing, coordinate end user testing, and create and maintain test plans.
  • Participate in defining, scoping, and building cross-departmental business processes and data flows to take advantage of CRM functionality.
  • Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configurations.
  • Develop and facilitate Slate CRM training workshops and end-user documentation.  Provide technical support to Slate CRM users.
  • Other duties as needed by the department and defined by the supervisor.

 

Requirements:

Technical and Analytical Skills

  • Strong technical and functional knowledge of Slate by Technolutions, including administration and configuration experience.
  • Working knowledge of data management concepts including relational databases, data security, data governance, and system maintenance.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner and/or other student information systems preferred.
  • Basic SQL skills and experience with enterprise-level reporting and data visualization tools. Proven technical competency in Microsoft Office products.
  • A high degree of integrity relative to data security and confidentiality of information.

 

Project Management, Problem Solving, and Communications

  • A successful candidate for this role will have a demonstrated passion for problem solving; strong project management skills and the proven ability to build trust and work well with all levels of management and technical staff.
  • Able to plan all elements of implementation project, develop objectives and requirements, assign tasks to project members, manage the overall project, and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle simultaneous requests.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; sound judgement; the ability to communicate effectively with people at varying levels of computer/data fluency; and the ability to establish collaborative working relationships at all contact levels of the University.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to set priorities and work concurrently on multiple tasks and projects; ability to communicate progress/problems to appropriate personnel effectively.

 

Education and Experience

  • BS in information management, computer science or related discipline. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a position of comparable complexity and scope. Comparable success and work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Experience in functional areas within higher education administration with technical capacity and understanding to facilitate communication and cooperation between functional and technical staff.
