Our Health Science program is expanding and the program is looking for someone with energy, team-orientated and who wants to collaborate as well as provide expertise in nutritional sciences and health promotion.
Job Summary:
The College of Health and Natural Sciences at Franklin Pierce University, Rindge, NH, seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Health Sciences, commencing January 2022.
As a full-time member of the faculty, your responsibilities include:
- teaching nutrition science courses, including Human Health and Nutrition and Advanced Nutrition,
- participate in teaching other courses, including First-Year Inquiry and Health Sciences Seminar,
- developing the nutritional sciences curriculum in the Department of Health Sciences and coordinating the Nutrition minor,
- serving on the Health Sciences Advising Committee,
- advise Health Science undergraduates, and a commitment of supporting student internships
- contribute to department, college and university events and activities.
All faculty positions are expected to engage in institutional
service as well as maintain a program of scholarly/creative
work.
Experience and Qualifications:
The skills and qualifications that you possess and bring to this position include:
- a Ph.D. in Nutrition Science or a related field (or must have Ph.D. by time of appointment),
- a demonstrable teaching effectiveness at the college level,
- a strong commitment to undergraduate education, learning, and advising,
- research experience or relevant certification in sports nutrition, sports science, and strength and conditioning, supplemented by a solid track record of teaching and research in the context of a multidisciplinary Health Science program is highly desirable.
