The Assistant Director of the Center for Disability Resources ( CDR ) Academic Support will manage all academic support programming and act as the primary leader of these services offered through the center. These academic support programs include the fee-based On Track at SU Program, the Time-Plus Academic Support, and tutoring support programming. The assistant director is a core member of the leadership team in CDR and reports to the associate director. The assistant director will assist in developing and implementing CDR’s mission and goals, and the principal will lead in assessment activities for academic support. They will participate in campus and community initiatives on behalf of the center, collaborate on critical research with CDR leaders and professional affiliates. They will also play an integral role in developing and implementing the strategic vision of CDR Academic Support and OnTrack services. They are responsible for enhancing the visibility and dissemination of programmatic information pertaining to OnTrack to educational consultants and prospective families. Qualifications
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Disability Studies, Education, or related field. Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in higher education, academic coaching/mentoring, academic support in a supervisory capacity. Actively maintain certification as an ADHD coach.   • Proven ability to manage and train a staff of academic tutors/coaches.
  • Proven ability to maintain an organizational system with technical efficiency.
  • Effective communicator, both oral & written.
  • Energetic, proactive, with a hands-on style.
Responsibilities
Oversee four full-time coaches and three part-time professional staff in CDR academic support, including recruiting, supervising, and mentoring coaches, tutors, and learning strategists.

Oversee all aspects of the CDR Academic Support programming, including managing, promoting, and developing new CDR academic support initiatives; maintaining existing and building new CDR campus and community partnerships.

Work directly with a small cohort of students providing academic support and coaching.

Manage CDR academic support communications, including development and distribution of written handouts/flyers, social media posts, and the CDR website; and identifying and implementing strategies to enhance engagement with incoming students and increase visibility of the services offered through CDR academic support.

Delivering CDR academic support presentations at admissions events, conferences, and with other campus partners; and coordinating evaluations of CDR academic support initiatives and dissemination of findings. Physical Requirements
